FusionKit available for download

INTERACT partner IMI (Institute of Media Informatics/Ulm University) released the FusionKit a low-cost tracking system based on multiple Kinect v2 time-of-flight cameras, which enables markerless body tracking as well as marker-based object tracking for a broad range of HCI and tracking scenarios.

INTERACT pilot trial @ Electrolux

INTERACT RTD partners EMPHASIS, HADATAP, imi and LMS together with Electrolux personnel had a 3-days workshop in early September 2015 in Electrolux premises to test the performance of INTERACT sensing system and recognition system. The first trial of Interact technology in the field provided a thorough understanding of the field constraints as well as the user requirements. Also revealed the technical issues that should be addressed during the following months in order to have successful final tests.

INTERACT 5th Consortium Meeting

On 15-16 April 2015 the 5th INTERACT consortium meeting took place in Saarbrucken, Germany hosted by IMI. The objective of the meetings were:

  • WPs overview and status.
  • Live demo and assessment of project M18 software and hardware prototypes.

INTERACT 4th Consortium Meeting

On 27-28 October 2014 the 4th INTERACT consortium meeting took place in Ulm, Germany hosted by IMI.  The objective of the meetings were:

  • Detailed definition of integrated user scenario.
  • WPs overview and status.
  • Live demo and assessment of project software and hardware prototypes.

INTERACT@CIRP ICME ’14

INTERACT partner Daimler participated in the 9th CIRP Conference on Intelligent Computation in Manufacturing Engineering – CIRP ICME ’14 that was held in Naples, Italy from 23 to 25 July 2014.  Two INTERACT related research papers entitled:

  • “Automatic proposal of assembly work plans with a controlled natural language”
  • “Improving A* walk trajectories with B-splines and motion capture for manual assembly verification”

were presented during CIRP ICME ’14 conference.

INTERACT 3rd General Assembly

On June 23-24 the INTERACT 3rd General Assembly took place in Saarbruecken, Germany hosted by DFKI. The objectives of the meeting were:

  • Analysis of project results for the first 6 months of the project
  • Plan until Month 18
  • Management and coordination issues

INTERACT@1st FutureEnterprise Brainstorming Workshop “Towards 2030 InterNet Business Innovation”

On 20-21 March 2014, INTERACT partner LMS participated in the activities of the

1st Future Enterprise Brainstorming Workshop “Towards 2030 InterNet Business Innovation”

LMS had the chance to present INTERACT project objectives and concept to a group of enthusiasts for innovative technologies in industry.

INTERACT is a member of the Digital Business Innovation – DBI Community.

INTERACT 2nd Consortium meeting

On 25-26 February 2014 the second INTERACT consortium meeting took place in Athens, Greece. The objectives of the meeting were

  • Analysis of project results for the first 6 months of the project.
  • Evaluate the status of the project requirements and pilot cases description.
  • Define the project end user apps.

Production site visit @ Electrolux

On Monday and Tuesday, 2-3 December 2013, representatives from all project partners visited Electrolux Professional production site in Pordenone, Italy.  After a guided tour of the production facility, a workshop took place with the participation of various stakeholders from the Engineering and Manufacturing departments in Electrolux Professional.  The objective of the workshop was to define in detail the requirements of the Electrolux pilot case.

INTERACT Kick-off meeting

The two-day kick-off meeting of the INTERACT project took place in Daimler Ulm (1 -2/10/2013).
Representatives of involved industry, technology providers and research partners met to discuss in detail the plans and steps for the next project months.
Moreover, visits and workshops to the end-user production sites have been initiated.
